The Brown County COAD (Community Organizations Active in a Disaster) has begun to work together with community leaders from local businesses, nonprofits, government, and service organizations to formulate a communication and resource plan for residents and businesses in response to coronavirus (COVID-19).  Your Brown County Chamber of Commerce is actively involved and part of the COAD team.

The COAD recommends that residents remain calm during this ever-changing environment.  Up to date information about resources and available assistance for Brown County residents and businesses will be shared from the committee as this situation develops.   Please follow us on Facebook here. For the time being, we recommend that you visit the Indiana State Department of Health or the Center for Disease Control (CDC) page on Coronavirus (COVID-19) which provides the latest updates on source, spread, response, and recommendations.

Brown County COAD will be sharing further resources asap which will include information on local emergency contacts, emergency food assistance, prescription delivery, handwashing, and other important information as this situation evolves. 

If you suspect you are ill, please contact your healthcare provider if you experience symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath and have a recent history of travel to areas affected by COVID-19 or contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
